EDIN DŽEKO - Biography
Edin Džeko, born in Sarajevo on March 17, 1986, is a Bosnian professional footballer. He plays as an attacker for FC Schalke 04 and the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team, where he serves as captain. Nicknamed "The Swan of Sarajevo," Džeko began his career in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Czech Republic before joining VfL Wolfsburg in 2007. With Wolfsburg, he won the German Bundesliga title in the 2008-2009 season. He then moved to Manchester City in 2010, winning two Premier League titles (2011-2012 and 2013-2014), an FA Cup (2010-2011), a League Cup (2013-2014), and a Community Shield (2012). In 2015, he joined AS Roma, becoming the club's highest-scoring foreign player and the third-highest overall scorer in their history. He captained the team from 2019-2020. Džeko's career continued with stints at Inter Milan, where he won two Supercoppa Italiana titles (2021 and 2022) and two Coppa Italia trophies (2021-2022 and 2022-2023), and ACF Fiorentina. He has represented Bosnia and Herzegovina internationally since 2007, participating in the 2014 and 2026 FIFA World Cups. He holds the records for most appearances and goals for the Bosnian national team, with 147 caps and 73 goals.

My love affair with football began in 1994, when I watched my first match ? it was love at first sight. Since then, I have spent 30 years following football: watching, writing about it, and, recently, collecting memorabilia. In the 1990s, I built a solid collection of Panini Calciatori albums with my father; we even ordered some earlier editions together. Ho iniziato a collezionare nei primi anni 70,ma in modo importante a metà degli anni 80, ho iniziato a raccogliere le figurine perché era bello associare un volto ascoltato alla radio, in particolare alla trasmissione "tutto il calcio minuto per minuto".
