ANDONI ZUBIZARRETA - Biography
Andoni Zubizarreta Urreta, born October 23, 1961, in Vitoria, is a Spanish former footballer and business personality. He played as a goalkeeper for F.C. Barcelona, Valencia Club de Fútbol, Athletic Club, and Deportivo Alavés. Zubizarreta won six La Liga titles, three Copa del Rey trophies, three Supercopa de España titles, one European Cup, one Cup Winners' Cup, and one UEFA Super Cup. He was a member of the Spain national football team, participating in four FIFA World Cups and three UEFA European Championships. Zubizarreta was awarded the Zamora Trophy in 1987 and named Spanish Footballer of the Year. He made over 1,000 appearances in his career, totaling 1,020.
