THE FIRST PANINI STICKER ? IT'S BRUNO BOLCHI!

Did you ever ask yourself which one was the first ever Panini stickers produced ? His name was Bruno Bolchi, captain of Inter Milan in 1961. He was born in Milan on 21st February 1940 and had his debut during the season 1957-1958 wearing the Inter shirt at the age of 18.

He played for the Nerazzurri for 6 season, winning a Title and becoming their captain. He then moved to Verona (1963), Serie B, then back to Serie A at Atalanta. Bruno will them move to Torino where he did more than 200 appearances scoring 12 goals, before moving to Serie C team Pro Patria, for the season 1970-1971, where he ended his career.
He also proudly got 4 International appearances.

The end of his career as player didn't put him too far away from the pitch, indeed he started to manage the last team he played for , Pro Patria the year after his retirement as player, but he started actually as player-manager!

In 1983 got hired to manage Bari, in Serie C1 and he led the team to two consecutive promotions bringing the team in Serie A. Remarkable was his Coppa Italia campaign in the season 1983-1984, when Bari reached the Semi-Finals beating Juventus and Fiorentina on their way!

The first Panini collection was very fascinating with the yellow edges and the team badge on the right bottom area, a classic and timeless beauty.
